Rep. Luis Gutierrez Lies About the Vote
\"I am disappointed that, in the process, we lost an entire day because Republicans walked away from the table\"
No mention of the 95 Democrats that voted \"No\"??
These people have no ethics.

are you kidding? they are businesses like any other. they made poor choices when they became too greedy and deserve to fail. just like any other business in america. they didn;t share any of the profits while they were rolling in the dough, so why should we share the debt on the flip side? republicans finally did the right thing for a change!

I don’t know what got up the House Republicans collective asses; but thank God for it! This whole thing stinks of WMD:The Economy. This “plan” was written months ago - and it is released moments before “catasthrophe”. WMD?
Doesn’t this Bush scum have any imagination?

Indeed. But what really disgusting is that Dems are totally bought in hook and sinker, and yet they won’t hesitate to blame everything on Republicans when the plan fails.

First, NO country in history or recent times has survived through being this far in debt, in other words, their economy FAILS OR CONTRACTS. That’s where we are. The 700 B Bailout is just more wood into the fire.
Second, the Federal Reserve. They haven’t been much help in the past, so what makes anyone think they’ll help now? They are a private corporation, owned by banks around the world.
Third, if you are looking for a solution, it’ll have to come from us. Executive Order #11110 enacted by Pres. John F Kennedy, gave the power to print money backed by silver to congress (the constitution already gives us that power I think), and it has never been abolished. Call your senator, congressman, or representatives, and get them to consider it!
Imagine if we were THE ONLY CURRENCY THAT HAD A SILVER BACKED CURRENCY. We would now be the safest currency in the world, and we would have investors flooding in. AND, it would be “our” money, that we printed ourselves, not going through a middle man like the Fed.
