Thanks for taking the time to write a great post.

In the UK I am dealing with the fall out from this every day and people who have lost their homes because of pure selfish greed should be made to watch this people pile their belongings into their friends car and head off to a miserable plan B.

We to are bailing out banks (2 to date). Others have been forced to be sold off cheaply wiping out peoples savings. I even found my own mother had shares in one and has lost over $3,000. As she is 65 and only has $20,000 saved, it hurts. So I think we need to focus on real people and how this world they find hard to understand will affect them and help them.

On a slightly more positive note. I think we need to move from a pure capitalist free for all to a responsible capitalism model. This requires our governments to lead the way. Possible?

Bailout marks Karl Marx's comeback
Marx’s Proposal Number Five seems to be the leading motivation for those backing the Wall Street bailout

By Martin Masse

In his Communist Manifesto, published in 1848, Karl Marx proposed 10 measures to be implemented after the proletariat takes power, with the aim of centralizing all instruments of production in the hands of the state. Proposal Number Five was to bring about the “centralization of credit in the banks of the state, by means of a national bank with state capital and an exclusive monopoly.”
