Living and breathing in the Second City
The Chicago Tribune is reporting Mark Grace is on the “short list” of those who would replace Bob Brenly in the booth, if Brenley were to get the Milwaukee job.
I’ve grown to like Brenly and the thought of him coaching Milwaukee … well, I don’t like it. He’s a smart guy and I certainly wouldn’t want the cubs to have to play him 16 times a year. But you have to admit, it would be kind of cool to have Grace in the booth! A little swearing never hurt anyone right? Can you imagine his interviews with Pinella?

I agree…Mark Grace would be a welcome addition. BUT…I REALY grew to like Bob Brenly’s “Steve Stone” like no nonsense analysis. I especially enjoyed his analysis of Soriano this season NOT being a “superstar” especially after he dropped a flyball with 2 outs in the 9th, leading to a win for the Pirates this season. IF Brenly is selected the Brewers new manager (and why wouldn’t they select him, if for no other reason then he has seen the division rival Cubs UP CLOSE and personal for what? 3 years now??) I wish him luck…but bad luck when facing the Cubs.
