I think the Cubs have what it will take to beat the Dodgers. But Manny scares me. Here’s his scouting report, from Chicago Tribune. Notice that he MURDERS fast balls from lefties and changeups from anyone.

I suspect (and would hope) the Cubs will choose to pitch around him…a form of the “Bonds rule,” which if you’ll recall invoked the motto “Don’t let Barry Bonds beat you.”
Here’s hoping that Game 1 invokes an homage to Game 1 in 1984, when the Cubs drubbed the Padres 13-0. But here’s hoping the Cubs don’t meet a similar fate as they met in ‘84…
