Libertarian To Run Against Jim Oberweis
7May2008 Filed under: Chicago, Elections, Politics Author: MikeIt looks like Jim Oberweis’ chances of beating Bill Foster in the 14th District just got a little slimmer. From the Beacon News:
Libertarian Dan Druck announced Monday that he is planning to run if he can get the required number of signatures to be on the ballot.
If he does, Druck would join Democratic incumbent Rep. Bill Foster, Republican Jim Oberweis and Green Party candidate Robert Hill, who announced his candidacy last month.

No, the man is a dud as a candidate. Any reasonably conservative candidate who hasn’t run unsuccessfully for fifteen offices could bump Oberweis off. I’ll be checking out this Libertarian dude.

- Repeal the Patriot Act
- Oppose the National ID Card
- Eliminate the I.R.S.
Oppose NAFTA, CAFTA, WTO & NAU
- Support true free trade

He may be a PaulPod, but you also could be right. He could be better than Oberweis.
