It sits looking
over harbor and city
on silent haunches
and then moves on.

Mike,
What absolutely INFURIATES me is that ALL the alderman get up on their soapbox and PONTIFICATE on the unjustness of these taxes…how unfair it is to their constituents…how they are VERY disapointed…and then they VOTE FOR IT!!!
Not one alderman pontificated on the RAISES they are receiving thanks to approving the budget…or the $30K for their respective offices. No sir!!!
This is a shakedown of the citizens of Chicago plain and simple. Until the citizenry WAKES UP, nothing will change…in fact, there is more incentive for people to run for office, NOT to affect change, but rather to get their hands on the neverending pot of gold that is financed by the suckers…I mean citizens of Chicago.
