I don’t mean to gang up on Illinois Reason, but I just can’t swallow this argument:
…What happens when one side of the political spectrum, through fetid ranting over the course of a great many years, foments rage and anger and promotes and even glorifies violence in order to ‘pump up their base of voters’?

Several people have pointed out the hypocrisy of Michael (and Lisa) Madigan and Emil Jones playing important roles in the DNC convention, which is supposed to be about “Hope” and “Change” rather than cynicism and nepotism.

The media has been abuzz about McCain’s surge in the polls, or rather, Obama’s sag. I’m sure it is mostly to do with McCain’s presence at Rick Warren’s forum. Or the crisis in Georgia. But I can’t help thinking that just a small part of it could be that the All Obama Network, also known [...]
