Another Reason to Hate Ohare

In: Chicago

Arriving at Ohare the other night was madness. We were on the ground five minutes early but ended up sitting on the tarmac waiting for a gate for nearly half an hour. Add to that another half an hour waiting on my luggage and it took me a full hour to get out of Ohare [...]

Curt Schilling’s contract

Cafe Hayek has some interesting info on Curt Schilling’s new contract. He gets $1 million dollars for receiving just ONE Cy Young vote. I smell a conspiracy.

The Chicago Tribune published

Let Griese call the plays from now on

In: Chicago, Sports

For the previous 58 minutes, offensive coordinator, Ron Turner called plays. They were conservative, they were predictable, and quite predictably, nothing happened. This should come as no surprise. Obama exposed the weakness of his support for clean an honest government earlier this year by endorsing Todd Stroger.

Greg Couch is a Negative Nancy

In: Chicago, Cubs, Sports

Seriously. Read the Sun-Times today. Couch goes out of his way to find something negative about the return of Kerry Wood. Couch writes:
So how long will Wood, who’s throwing 94 mph, really be a bit part?
Here’s a prediction: Within two weeks, he’ll be an important part of the bullpen. And the hype will build around [...]
