Watching the Democratic National Convention last night was a chore. Three hours of uninterrupted campaign commercial, with the occasional interesting moment. Occasional is the operative word. Lucky for us, we came up with a great new drinking game. It’s called Hope & Chug. Here’s how it works:

The game requires players to drink every time a speaker uses the following words:

Hope (1 drink)
Change (1 drink)
Future (1 drink)
Children (1 drink)

What makes the game fun are the combo possibilities.

Double: If a DNC speaker uses any two words in combination, then the participant must drink twice. For instance if Hillary Clinton says we should do something “for the future of our children,” that’s two drinks. When anyone says “Change we can believe in!” Two drinks.

Triple: If a DNC speaker uses three of the keywords in a single phrase game participants must take three drinks.

Home Run: If four of the keywords are used, the player must drink the entire beer.

[Disclaimer: I don't actually recommend anyone try this game, unless you are prepared to vomit within the first half an hour. ]
