Living and breathing in the Second City
I know I should be talking about the Cubs and their bad ass sweep of the Brewers. But I can’t help it. I need to know if I’m the only one pulling for Kyle Orton to when the starting job.

I’m tired of Grossman. I’m ready for Orton as well. The problem neither will look great without an offensive line…

It is August 1st, SUMMER, the Cubs (a notoriously horrible road team) just won 4 games in Milwaukee, for the sweep of a division rival and you ask a question about who will be the next Bears quarterback?! WHO CARES!!!
The problem with ESPN & sports radio and sports-fan-nut job blogs is that the collective attention span has gone out the window…now, TV shows the NFL draft, and in fact makes it an all day “event.” Why the need to know what’s going on in training camp weeks if not MONTHS away from the season?
Let me get all Buddhist here and say ENJOY THE PRESENT. The Cubs are in 1st place, the season is heating up, and I couldn’t give a rat’s a– about the Bears or who the next QB will be…

I respectfully disagree w/ DGM. In fact, I never could pay attention to baseball seasons in the first place. Who could make that commitment? Eff. Not me. Now football on the other hand. 16 games. 17 weeks. That I can handle.
Anyways, Grossman. I love him. Late last season he shined. Tell me he didn’t shine. You can’t!

Oh yes, grossman has had his fill and it is time for orton. My sister is a much bigger fan of baseball than I am and she loves the Cubs so much she has everything with their logo on it. She even saves the cans of beer they made with the cubs logo on it.

Wow, that’s dedication. I hope she at least drank the beer right?

Oh for sure! In fact I bet she could win a beer identifying contest because she can taste any beer and know what it is. I believe she considers herself a beer genius. But the best thing about it she doesn’t look like she drinks beer alot haha.
