Living and breathing in the Second City
The White Sox were wearing a throwback jersey yesterday, reminding me just how bad things were in the 80s. That got me thinking about all the old funky jerseys. Which is the worst? Here are some of my favorites. What are yours. I’m still looking for a picture of the Pirates “Painters” Cap. That’s right up there for me.

I would have to tie it between the Rangers and the Astros. It seems like the Astros especially during that era didn’t have anything resembling road or home uniforms.

‘Stros; not even close.
Those things look more like Euro soccer (excusez moi, “futbol”) uniforms. Maybe they knew they’d get that naming rights deal with Minute Maid orange juice someday?!
I’m glad most of the teams have gone back to more classic looks these days. Leave the flashy stuff for other sports.
