Living and breathing in the Second City
I’m not blogging today. I have a couple of resumes to work on and think I need the afternoon off. So in honor of one (sort of) day off, here are some clips from another.
The fog comes
on little cat feet.
It sits looking
over harbor and city
on silent haunches
and then moves on.

Today is june 14, 2008. I just want to mention Tim Russert.
I don’t know much about politics but I loved watching him. He could present the stuff I didn’t understand into language that I could. He was warm, soft and yet very strong. After watching MSNBC a good part of the afternoon, I learned of all the terrific things he did. As a Mother the one thing that hit me the hardest was that when the ladies on his staff had a child, he wrote that child a letter that included courage and a look into their future. That beats flowers any day.
