Google Proving It Is Anti-Freedom

Posted by Mike | June 2, 2008 | |

Some of you may have followed the intense debate last year over Net Neutrality, in which Google and Microsoft teamed up to try and dupe Americans into tolerating government regulation of the internet in the name of “neutrality.” They spent millions trying to make the idea fly, fortunately with no success.

I’m sure the issue will return at some point. But meanwhile Google is still proving that they, like any corporation, are willing to obstruct free markets to get what they want. Eric Odom reports on their attempts to obstruct an eBay/Paypal deal in Australia.

I do not understand how Google can be Anti-freedom. There are other resources than Paypal. Several corporations can lead costs to dramatically decrease (i.e. Cell Phones).
